Saplings Class consists of Year 3 and 4. Our aim is to provide an inclusive, challenging and supportive learning environment for all children. 

Curriculum

Reading

Children are encouraged to read daily and reading records are checked every Monday and Friday to ensure this is taking place. Children are welcome to change their books whenever they have finished that book. Children are also encouraged to take a book home to read for pleasure.

PE

Children can wear PE kit on a Friday. Children also need to bring in Swimming costume on Fridays as they will go Swimming on a Friday afternoon.

At Home 

Children should read daily with an adult at home. Spellings will be sent home every Friday and children should be learning spellings at home to enrich their learning in school. Spelling tests will take place every Friday morning. Children are also encouraged to use Twinkl Spellings when they can to help them learn their spellings for the week.

Children are encouraged to go on TT Rockstars where they can compete against others for their timestables.
